"A film is never really good unless the camera is an eye in the head of a poet" - Orson Welles

Art is more than just words on a page or pictures on a canvas. Art is a venue for exploring the deeper things that make us human: things like purpose, belief, and values. Film is unique in that it is an art form that is adapted for the masses, more so than art forms of the past. It reflects societal norms and projects new ideas into a culture.

This blog is for a film analysis class at the University of Florida. My name is Melissa Harvard. I'm a freshman journalism student in this class.
